It took over a year, but we finally released List Bonus 2.0 a month or so ago. It wasn’t easy. The hardest part was coming up with new features that will help you grow your business. We think we did that, but, we would love to know what you think.
List Bonus means nothing if you don’t love it, if you don’t use it, and if it doesn’t grow your business. That’s the only reason why it exists, if not, we’d toss it in the garbage – don’t worry, I don’t think we’ll be doing that 🙂
There’s been a few new features added to this update, primarily the ‘Shareable email’ feature. I wrote about it a bit here: http://www.listbonus.com/blog/want-make-emails-go-viral/
Essentially how it works is that after you send your email you get a special link with your email on it. That way you can share it anywhere you like and get an even bigger audience.
Have you been using it? Do you like it? Are there any ways we can improve it?
I’ve been monitoring Twitter and it seems like people are using it. That makes us happy. You can see that here: https://twitter.com/search?q=listbonus&src=typd
Pretty neat huh?
We are also thinking about doing a bit of late launch for List Bonus 2.0. I think it’s been awhile since the industry has launched a quality site (not a cookie-cutter site!). What do you think, would you like to be part of the launch or are you sick of launches?
Please leave your thoughts and answers to the questions above in the comments. I’ll respond to them all!
Let’s keep working together to grow our businesses and help others grow their business.
Look forward to hearing from you!

Mě se Listbonus moc líbí, taky ho využívám a snažím se ho rozšiřovat dál. Už mám asi 13 zájemců.
Klidně by mohlo chodit víc reklam, ale to záleží na aktivitě lidí – vím to.

Hey guys,
I’ve been a member of List Bonus for a bit and I like what you’ve done with the script.
The new shareable email feature is pretty cool, but I haven’t gotten the courage up to use it yet.
More because I send out for the same sites and do not wish to clutter up my social media streams with emails pointing back to the same thing. I’ll exercise discretion, but I do think it’s a pretty awesome new feature.
The main issue I’ve found with List Bonus as a free member is the emails sent out do not get you
nearly enough credits to even mail out to the minimum 1000 available. The new bonus credits within
the emails are a good addition to augment the lower credits, so I give you props with that aspect.
I have found that new List Bonus V2 is a welcome addition back to my active advertising, just wish
more people were sending out emails and promoting cos that activity is what drives the credits
and traffic of any site.
Anyway…don’t trash it! I’m sure with a bit of attention and Tender, Loving, Care the members will
come back and utilize this great resource as much as they used to. If all else fails, have a purge and
clear up the members who haven’t logged in over 2 years. You can put them on vacation or whatever,
it’s your choice, but the more active members will help bring List Bonus back in responsiveness when
it comes to members getting their emails opened and read.
Great job guys and I look forward to seeing what you do with this site in the future!

Thanks for the great response Marci, you have the best response so far!
That’s a great point about the shareable email link. I think you are using it properly. It’s not meant to share every email, just the ones that you want to.
I was being a bit tongue and cheek, we would never throw out List Bonus 🙂
We are definitely keeping the database clean and always looking for new ways to get more members and to keep the current ones active.
Thanks again for the feedback!

So far I am really liking List Bonus…. especially the FREE leads that I am able to get, and use. Many thanks. I haven’t yet used all the tools, and sometimes I think the site is overloaded with too much “stuff”, but then we all have to make choices…right? As one who has never made any real money online…AND REALLY NEED TO… I am determined to somehow make these tools, and programs, work for me. I have some goals I want to reach yet in my retirement years, and it takes money to do that. Making money online is NOT as easy as everyone who DOES make money online would like you to think. My thought is this: find an opportunity that really is a good “fit” for you. Like a good pair of shoes. Understand what it is that you need to do, and STICK WITH IT! Too much bouncing around will get you somewhere, for sure… BROKE! So quit jumping around, and give the program you chose a chance. And remember that W-O-R-K is not a dirty 4-letter word. There is no such thing as a free lunch. Never has been, and never will be.
Bill says
Right on Bob, thanks for the feedback! It is a fine balance between too many tools and just enough. I’m not sure if we found it or not with List Bonus 2.0 but I think we are probably close to it. Best of luck on your journey and keep up the good w-o-r-k!

Hey I didn’t even realize what you were doing until I read an email that you probably send out automatically. So I have to say I am a noob to this. But now I am interested. I have been talking about making it online but now I really want to. And so please send me a link to faqs. So I am not asking a bunch of questions. And I do want know about when you started this, How well you are doing now, and if you could give me some instruction on how it works and kinda of about how I should start off. And If I could give you a comment on 2.0 I would but I feel I would be out of place since I am now showing interest. I realized one thing, if you are real and what I mean is not everyone interacts with most people the way I see you have just reading through all your posts, which I havent seen normally online, then I definitely want some help to get started and get going, and can give a honest opinion in the future of the products you are creating to help people.
Bill says
Thanks so much for your comments Tommy. If you log into List Bonus you can access support. You can send any email you like with questions and we’ll answer them for you ASAP. There is also an FAQ there. Feel free to send any questions you have to support at List Bonus.

Kenny Kolijn says
Hi Bill,
I like the new look & features and when it went live I sent out some emails to my lists.
With a yearly Platinum upgrade and have sent 13 emails since end of april, giving me 11 signups at Fast List Mailer on 680 hits. Just sharing my stats, it’s a 1.62% conversion rate (signups), very good compared to other mailers I’m using.
My only issue is that even with an upgrade I can’t send my email to more than 3000-3500 per mailing because I simply don’t receive enough emails to earn credits.
It would be good if a Platinum member can really send up to 8500 emails Every 2 Days. I don’t mind reading emails, but I only receive a couple (max) per day. Maybe you can make us get more emails? At List Joe, Bweeble, List Adventure I read every email thatI receive (and I would read even more IF I would receive more emails, because I prefer to send to the max without having to buy a credit package to do so…).
Credit packages are expensive and I think most members don’t mind investing time to read mails and earn more credits, especially if you invested in a 1 year upgrade, then you hope to be able to earn a lot of credits so that you can reach more members.
Sending to a few thousands more has a big impact in terms of how much clicks (and conversions) my emails got. Somehow upgrade members receive few emails? I only receive a few per day and there’s no way to read extra emails on site. I want to read 30, 40, 50, … or even 100 emails a day if that would allow me to reach more members with my mailings.
Just my opinion, I’m glad you reach out to your members.
I’m happy with the signups I’m getting but I believe it could be so much more if I can use my upgrade for the full 100% 🙂
I also hoped many more people would join & promote it. I think nowadays launches & re-launches are important and most ‘silent’ relaunches that I know of don’t get that much attention by affiliates (unfortunately).
Keep up the good work. There’s a reason I renew my upgrades at the AdLabs sites. They bring me signups (230+ personal signups to Fast List Mailer in 14 months) and sales.
Greets,
Kenny Kolijn

I haven’t hand a chance to use it because I’m JUST NOW finding out about it….. lol.
However I do have 1 suggestion… Make it more mobile friendly…. please.
When I clicked on the link from your email to check it out, the page didn’t even load. I can send a screen shot to show you what I’m talking about. All I seen was the very top header that asked me to rate the website and told me how many credits I got for viewing it. (Which was 0 because it didn’t load.)
I think it will be a nice addition to the websites you already have. Also, it will draw in a different demographic of people.
Thank you for being awesome by providing useful tools business owners can use. And thank you for reading and responding to my comment.
Christina
Bill says
Thanks for the response Christina. That’s a great suggestion, something we’ve been thinking about for awhile!
Doug says
Like Marci-I find the low amount of mail sent out a clear indication that this mailer is not for me-thus lowering the mail even more.
However, I feel the reason for the poor amount of mail sent is directly tied to the over priced Upgrades.
Many Marketers only pump high priced sites hoping for that big payday, and still working under the assumption that if they bribe enough people to join a few will be foolish enough to pay the high price, they do just that.
So you have a very low percent of Upgraded members-and a very high percentage of members that only joined to get some credits at a TE or other program.
The last thing they would ever think of is sending a letter out, and those who pumped you at launch are of to the next over priced launch, and because of the very low Upgrade Percentage you have no real base to promote and bring in REAL members with a REAL interest in Marketing.
We ban people if they give any incentives for a free member to join. I would rather have 1000 Marketers then 5000 members who joined to get a bonus of any kind.
I know most will think I am wrong, and that is okay. I know what works, and am very happy with our results.
Bill says
Hello Doug,
Thanks for replying. The low emails might actually be a setting or a possible server issue we had awhile ago, it’s something we are looking into (look at previous response about this). We actually have a LOT of emails being sent at List Bonus, it’s a very active site. Also, we didn’t have a launch, just silently released it. We appreciate your feedback though. Thanks for posting and sorry List Bonus is not your cup of tea, best of luck!

Thanks Phyllis, we really appreciate the feedback! Glad you like List Bonus 2.0
Richard says
I’m a new member and not been in long enough to earn enough credits to do a mailing. That will be acid test for me whether it is responsive or not. Like others have said you don’t get many e mails so I guess it will be awhile yet before I can send a mailing.
Otherwise List Bonus looks OK.
Richard

Jackie O says
I think you should trash List Bonus and concentrate on building up your other mailers back to where they were.
I had a yearly gold upgrade at List Bonus since it opened. However I made the decision to cancel it this year because I never had enough emails to click on to send to the full amount my upgrade allowed. Even now as a free member I’m still only getting a few emails a day. I also think the upgrades at all your mailers are way over-priced for today’s market…..you have a LOT more competition out there now, and like any other product, competition drives down prices.
List Bonus, List Joe, Bweeble and List Adventure used to be some of my best performers, however the lack of emails at all of them have clearly shown that not many are using the sites anymore, and credits/upgrades are way too expensive.
Like Kenny said above, things need to be adjusted so that upgraded members can fully use their upgrade and mail to the max amount..
As far as the overall change to List Bonus, I really didn’t notice much except for a few cosmetic changes. The new feature I’m not interested in as I use mailers for mailing…..that’s all I want….to mail to as many as I can. 😉
Bill says
Hello Jackie, thanks for the awesome feedback.
Those are great points and I promise we are going to work on all of them. It’s feedback like this that makes reaching out so valuable, and I plan to do it a lot more often. I think activity has dropped and we take full responsibility for that. However, on the bright side, activity is still fairly strong at all the sites and we are going to a LOT moving forward to make it even stronger. You’re right, a lot more list builders have popped out lately, but longevity is the challenge 🙂
Tony Tezak says
Received only 3 emails this week. At that rate it would take months of clicking to do mailing.
Tony
Bill says
Thanks for the feedback Tony, that’s definitely something we are going to improve!
Alison Rempel says
I definitely haven’t tried various features – I’ve been fairly regularly sending out as many as I can on Bweeble, ListBonus, ListJoe and ListAdventure. I’m tracking how many clicks (ListJoe is about the best for clicks) but no actually leads sign on my site. I’m trying different emails and subject, but it seems fairly random – an email will get 3% clicks, and then the same exact thing a few weeks later get 1%
I’m wondering if this is not my target audience (folks interested in Real estate investing, MLM, and a mentor program). It seems like most folks are “selling” tools to sell to others; ways to build a list, email, etc.
Biggest problem with ListBonus is, as mentioned by others, I can’t earn enough credits to mail. Perhaps a second click (as on some Bweeble msgs) to get extra?
Until I find can consistently get actual leads, I’ll stay a free member and only send as many ListBonus as I can build credits.
Bill says
Thanks for the great feedback Alison. Lot’s of different things impact clicks and sign ups, that’s great you are trying different emails, subjects and offers. Are you sending traffic to sales pages or sign up pages? The way your offer is presented makes a big difference as well. Keep trying Im sure you’ll start getting some traction.
That’s a great point about offering bonuses like we do at Bweeble when clicking. I’ll put some thought into that, it seems like people really like that feature.

John Muller says
I use List Bonus as a free member and find nothing to complain about asfar as the system goes. My gripe is–As a free member I can send once a week to a1000 members. I feel that if I am prepared toc lick on emails and build my credits up i should be allowed to use them on a weekly basis. By limiting your free members to 1000 a week you are taking away the incentive to click on other peoples emails and you are doing your business more harm than good.
Imagine how many more clicks and possinle salrs could be achieved if you follow my advice
Bill says
Thanks for the response John, that’s some really good points about the amount of emails you can send. It’s definitely something we are going to work on moving forward and we have some neat ideas we might try 🙂

My suggestion to you: be unique, make the site stand out from the others. I have not been a member of this very long, but I like it, the list is responsive, I have had several sign ups for some of the programs I am in with the first message. That being said, I will be joining the other lists as well, and in time I will upgrade..
I have a personal list, not a huge one, but I can honestly say that sending a message out to List bonus gives me a better response, people have an incentive to open the messages just to get points, which puts your message in front of them, so it works great.
Keep it.
Bill says
Thanks for the feedback Scott, I’m glad List Bonus is working so well for you. Thanks for being a member!
Tim says
I agree with Kuryurka
Bill says
Really? That’s great to hear Tim. According to Google translate Kuryurka said: “Listbonus me like a lot, I use it and try to expand it further. I already have about 13 candidates. It could walk more ads, but it depends on the activity of people – I know it.”
I agree with him too!
Bo Tipton says
Like many have mentioned here I do not get enough emails to build up credits to send out mailings. In my mind if I am not receiving emails from a site then people are not sending mailings. If people are not sending mailings, then they are not reading mailings to get credit. If they are not reading mailings, then why use that site.
It takes just as long to send out an emailing on a mailer that is active as to send out a mailing to a mailer that is struggling. Even if you use Ulti-send
Since there were few emails to read, I quit reading them and stopped using List Bonus.
If there emails to get credits, I will go back to reading them.
I am like Jackie. I use a mailer to mail to people. The bells and whistles are nice, but all that matters to me is click rate and conversions on the clicks.
If a mailer is priced higher than other mailers and is performing well I do not mind paying more. If a mailer is performing like other mailers then why would I pay more for the same results that I can get on a mailer that charges less for an upgrade.
If you want to charge more, then make it worth it for me to pay more. Step away from the thundering herd. Set the pace for other mailers as you have done in the past. If you do, I will use List Bonus and be willing to pay for it. If you are part of the thundering herd, then there are others out there I am already using so why add one more that does not send offer enough credits for a mailing.
The bottom line is, for each conversion how much time and or money do I have to invest to get the conversion. If List Bonus is effective and comparable cost per conversion to other sites like Fast List Mailer or Viral commissions then I will be a loyal customer and upgrade. If List Bonus does not perform as well as the competition then there is no reason for me to use it. There are other good sites out there.
I look forward to seeing what you do this to get it rocking and rolling again. Let’s see what you do to separate List Bonus from the thundering herd. Getting us enough emails to read to get credits to mail would be huge.
After all, it all comes down to how much does each lead from List Bonus cost me in time and money.
So put the thinking cap on, make some changes and step up to the plate and hit a home run.
Bill says
Hello Bo, thanks so much for the thoughtful feedback and the great encouragement. We are definitely working hard behind the scenes and we have a lot of great things coming.
Kanakjyoti says

suhaimi says
Hi Bill . I think that I’m the only one who is not interested in earning credits. If you’d like to know why, just email me… it’ll be fun .
Marian Gurowicz says
I’ll toss my 2 cents in the pot as well.
The new design is welcoming.
The email sharing is not a feature that I would use. I have a completely different tool set that I use to manage my social media postings and tracking.
The big concern as several people have mentioned is the lack of emails in the system. When there are so few, the task of reading them ends up sinking lower and lower on my To Do list as it is more efficient to handle reading them when I’m getting ready to do a mailing. List Bonus (as well as your other sites) is just one of many mailers that I use. The lower it sinks, the less likely that I am to get to it in any given week. Eventually, it ends up just being a memory. If it’s one like List Adventure, which I really did like, I may actively go search for it like I did this week only to find that there were too few emails out there to make it worthwhile. At that point, I pretty much (sadly) consider it a dead resource.
I’m not sure how your efforts for reviving them will go. I wish you success.
Bill says
Yes, emails are a bit lower than they should be but we’ll change that. This blog post alone shows there’s still a lot of interest and activity out there. Thanks for responding, we really do appreciate the feedback, and thanks for using List Bonus and List Adventure! Please stay tuned 🙂

Verlinda Sweeting says
I like List Bonus new look!
As you are already aware, the emails are low and to earn credits it takes days before seeing one or two emails to click on and you can’t miss them or the ad expires it ends up taking days or weeks to earn credits needed to mail.
I still check pretty regular to see if I have emails to click knowing its not worth it at the moment.
As a Free member, I have considered in upgrading in the past because I use to get good results. However once things started to look inactive, I no longer wanted to upgrade and other mailers were cheaper and produced results.
I dont want to ignore List Bonus like I have with other mailers so don’t trash it!
If you believe in it and keep taking everyone’s advise as you are to heart. It can and will be a great mailer.
Thanks for listening,
Verlinda Sweeting
Bill says
Thanks so much Verlinda, you’re encouragement means a lot! We are definitely taking all the feedback into consideration and we have some big plans moving forward. I’ll be sending out more emails and keeping you up-to-date on what’s going on.
Andrew Stark says
I think the response to the Admin email you sent shows that people want to use the site, so it’s just a case of getting the balance right again.
Here’s the answer to your questions.
The social sharing feature is not something I would share as it’s just effectively filling up your social media with adverts which goes against the whole point of social media. If you were to change it a message to make it something worth sharing, eg. a promo code or contest to win a solo advert it would be more of an incentive.
For mailings given the feedback I would look at giving out more credits per message so that free members are able to reach the 1,000 limit. At the moment with 15 credits for normal and 50 for solo that means an average of 10 per day, or 70 in one go.
This week it looks like I may only have half that amount, so you could look at making it 30 credits for normal and 100 for solos? Then for upgraded members who are also struggling it could be 100 credits per click?
If you don’t want to increase credits then cut the limit to 500 per mailing, and make sure you put anyone who’s not been active for more than a month on vacation mode so credits are not wasted. Darren Orlander does this at his sites and I think it is a much better feature than deleting accounts.
Finally if you are on facebook drop by this group and keep active with lots of other owners and high frequency users.

Andrew
Bill says
Hello Andrew, thanks so much for your awesome feedback, I really appreciate it.
In terms of the social sharing, that’s a great point. I personally see emails a bit different, I try to take them to a deeper level and for a lot of them I would definitely share them on social networks. But I realize that not everyone emails that way and I also realize not everyone will use that sharing feature, which is fine, it’s an optional and free feature. You don’t have to share your emails, and you don’t have to share every email, it’s up to the member if they want to or not, and when they want to.
I’m trying to push list builders a little bit to grow and adapt with new features that haven’t been explored. I feel this might bring in new people or get the current members to use them differently. Some new features will fail and some won’t, but I’m enjoying the journey and some members are as well, which keeps me going.
In terms of your other comments, those are also all great ideas. Thanks so much for sharing them and we will definitely add some of them to our list builders.
I’ve been added to that facebook group and I intend to start contributing more. Also, it looks like this blog post has been shared there already 🙂
Thanks again for your feedback, let’s stay in touch.
